Maryvonne de Saint-Pulgent is a French musicologist and a member of the Conseil d’Etat of France. She is a Graduate of the Institute of Political Studies of Paris and of the ENA- Ecole Nationale d’Administration. She has served as the President of the Board of Directors of the Institute of Political Studies of Aix-en-Provence until 2017.
She began her career back in 1976 at the administrative court of Paris. In 1980 she joined the Court of Auditors as rapporteur, then the Council of State in 1986. Commissioner of the government at the assembly of litigation and the other formations of judgement at the Council of State from 1987 up to 1993, she became president of the 8th sub-section of the litigation in 2001, served as President of the Annual Report and Studies Section from 2014 to 2017 and currently serves as Deputy President of the Internal affairs Section. 
Maryvonne de Saint Pulgent has also served as Director of Heritage at the Ministry of Culture and Francophonie and President of the National Fund for Historic Monuments and Sites, from 1993 to 1997. She was appointed President of the House of History of France from January to September 2012, and also Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Théâtre National de l'Opéra Comique and the Board of Directors of the National Geographic Institute.
