This publication features the proceedings of an International Conference organised by the European Public Law Center (now European Public Law Organization), under the auspices of the Ministry of National Education and Religious Affairs of the Hellenic Republic, on: “European Higher Education Institutions in the 21st Century: What Prospects?”, held in 2006. The Conference aimed at conveying to Greece the attainments, reforms, successes but also failures, in other words the experiences of many and important European states in the field of Higher Education Institutions, which have entered a new era.
