This year’s public law chronicle provides an overview (i) of the new law on the public access to administrative documents on matters of environmental information and (ii) of the Portuguese Government’s Code of Conduct, both enacted in 2016. After an extremely active year of 2015 in the making of relevant legislation in the field of public law, such as the new Code of Administrative Procedure and the reform of the Procedural Code of Administrative Courts, 2016 saw the enactment of the aforementioned statutes, which are aimed at a more transparent, impartial and close to the citizens public administration.
La chronique de droit public de cette année fournit un aperçu: 1) de la nouvelle loi sur l’accès du public aux documents administratifs en matière d’information environnementale, et 2) du code de conduite du gouvernement portugais, tous deux adoptés en 2016. Après une année extrêmement active en 2015 en matière d’élaboration d’une législation pertinente dans le domaine du droit public, comme le nouveau code de procédure administrative et la réforme du code de procédure des tribunaux administratifs, 2016 a vu la mise en œuvre des lois susmentionnées, qui visent à une administration publique plus transparente, impartiale et proche des citoyens.
