In 2018, the Supreme Administrative Court celebrated its centennial. In the future, it will be more of a preliminary ruling court when the new Act on Judicial Procedure in Administrative Matters will be approved in Parliament. The main rule would then be that leave to appeal to the Supreme Administrative Court is required. There is new legislation concerning early childhood education and care, transport services and data protection, but the SOTE reform is still in progress. Linguistic rights were the subject of a special review in 2017.
