Announcement (issue 1-2 • 2025) and Call for Papers (issue 1 • 2026) [EN]
The European Public Law Organization (EPLO) and its Mexican Chapter (Capítulo Mexicano) are pleased to announce the launch of the Latin American Public Law Review with the joint publication of issues 1 and 2 of the year 2025 (1-2 • 2025) – see here, wherein you can find information on the journal and on issue 1-2 • 2025 (also per article).
The Latin American Public Law Review constitutes an initiative of the European Public Law Organization (EPLO), operating through its Mexican Chapter (Capítulo Mexicano), that aims at developing public law and governance in Latin America by, amongst others, promoting the scientific togetherness of public lawyers in Mexico and all Latin America, along with the Europeans, and by encouraging a permanent dialogue on public law issues of interest for the whole region. It is oriented to articles on public law issues related to Latin American experiences and realities; the European and other origins’ thought on public law. Short articles dealing with developments in recent legislation and case-law within the Latin American institutions, book reviews and academic news of general interest are also within the scope of the Latin American Public Law Review.
It is a publication of the EPLO (Office in Rome) and will be published semiannually in print (limited number of print copies) and in online form in spring and autumn of each year. Submissions are accepted in English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish so as to give the opportunity to researchers to present developments in the public law of Latin America to a wide audience.
In 1-2 • 2025 of the Latin American Public Law Review, articles are introduced by a Preface (in English and Spanish) by the Editors of the Review: Prof. Isaac Augusto Damsky (Universidad de Buenos Aires, Argentina); Prof. Augusto Hernández Becerra (Universidad Externado de Colombia, Colombia); Prof. Bernardo Giorgio Mattarella (Luiss School of Government, Italy); and Prof. Jorge Vargas Morgado (Asociación Mexicana de Derecho Administrativo, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, Mexico).

The Latin American Public Law Review invites submissions for issue 1 • 2026.
The deadline for submissions is 9 January 2026 at 12:00 p.m. (CST, Mexico City) / 7:00 p.m. (CET, Rome).
Manuscripts should be submitted by email to submissions@eplopublications.eu. Please indicate the journal in the subject line of your email, for example: “Submission to the Latin American Public Law Review.”
The Latin American Public Law Review is committed to high-standard research; therefore, manuscripts undergo rigorous peer review. The process normally takes between six to eight weeks.

La European Public Law Organization (EPLO) y su Capítulo Mexicano se complacen en anunciar el lanzamiento de la Latin American Public Law Review con la publicación conjunta de los números 1 y 2 del año 2025 (1-2 • 2025) – véase aqui, donde se puede encontrar información sobre la revista y sobre el número 1-2 • 2025 (también por artículo).
La Latin American Public Law Review es una iniciativa de la European Public Law Organization (EPLO), que opera a través de su Capítulo Mexicano, y tiene como objetivo desarrollar el derecho público y la gobernanza en América Latina, entre otras cosas, promoviendo la unión científica de los juristas públicos de México y toda América Latina, junto con los europeos, y fomentando un diálogo permanente sobre cuestiones de derecho público de interés para toda la región. Está orientada a artículos sobre cuestiones de derecho público relacionadas con las experiencias y realidades latinoamericanas, así como al pensamiento europeo y de otros orígenes sobre el derecho público. También entran dentro del ámbito de la Latin American Public Law Review los artículos breves que tratan sobre la evolución de la legislación y la jurisprudencia recientes en las instituciones latinoamericanas, las reseñas de libros y las noticias académicas de interés general.
Es una publicación de la EPLO (Oficina en Roma) y se publicará semestralmente en formato impreso (número limitado de ejemplares) y en línea en primavera y otoño de cada año. Se aceptan contribuciones en inglés, francés, alemán, italiano, portugués y español, con el fin de brindar a los investigadores la oportunidad de presentar los avances en el derecho público de América Latina a un público amplio.
En el número 1-2 • 2025 de la Latin American Public Law Review, los artículos se introducen con un Prefacio (en inglés y español) de los editores de la revista: el Prof. Isaac Augusto Damsky (Universidad de Buenos Aires, Argentina); Prof. Augusto Hernández Becerra (Universidad Externado de Colombia, Colombia); Prof. Bernardo Giorgio Mattarella (Luiss School of Government, Italia); y Prof. Jorge Vargas Morgado (Asociación Mexicana de Derecho Administrativo, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, México).

La Latin American Public Law Review invita a enviar artículos para el número 1 • 2026.
La fecha límite para el envío de artículos es el 9 de enero de 2026 a las 12:00 p. m. (CST, Ciudad de México) / 7:00 p. m. (CET, Roma).
Los manuscritos deben enviarse por correo electrónico a submissions@eplopublications.eu. Indique la revista en el asunto del correo electrónico, por ejemplo: “Submission to the Latin American Public Law Review”.
La Latin American Public Law Review está comprometida con la investigación de alto nivel; por lo tanto, los manuscritos se someten a una rigurosa revisión por pares. El proceso suele durar entre seis y ocho semanas.
