New EPLO Journal on History and Culture

The European Journal of History and Culture constitutes an initiative of the EPLO (Office in Rome), operating through its Institute for Humanities and Culture “Nicos Svoronos”, established for the promotion of research and training, inter alia, in history and culture fostering discussions about the past and its influence on the present and the future. Τhe Journal will be the ideal vehicle for diffusing knowledge; therefore, everyone who feels that they have something to contribute to the understanding of History and Culture of the Mediterranean and of Europe, is invited to submit his work for publication in the Journal. It pledges to be an open, objective and unbiased edition which is not based on pre-conceptions, dogmatic understandings and an exclusionary logic. The papers are disseminated without delays and risk of becoming obsolete.

It is a bi-annual publication and seeks to address key issues and current scientific discussions. The European Journal of History and Culture invites contributions in eight languages: English, French, German, Greek, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish.

The first issue of the European Journal of History and Culture (Vol. 1 / No 1 • 2024) comprises 10 papers:
