Melanie van Zanten is Assistant Professor of Administrative Law at the Institute of Jurisprudence, Constitutional and Administrative Law and connected to the Montaigne Centre for Rule of Law and Administration of Justice. Melanie holds a master in Constitutional and Administrative Law (cum laude) from Utrecht University and obtained her PhD at the same university. The title of her dissertation is Indirect review by administrative courts of acts of general application in the light of proportionality. She has written several articles on and is interested in (effective) judicial protection, judicial review, and the proportionality principle.
