
Lisette Mustert is an Assistant Professor of Administrative Law at Utrecht University, and a member of the Utrecht Centre for Regulation and Enforcement in Europe (RENFORCE). Lisette obtained her PhD at the Université du Luxembourg, with her doctoral thesis titled Cross-border enforcement of the GDPR by independent administrative authorities. Lisette conducts research on the intersection of EU and national administrative law. Her expertise lies particularly in the field of supervision and enforcement of the GDPR, and public enforcement of EU law more generally. Her research interests also include questions of effectiveness, good administration and the protection of fundamental rights – such as the right to effective judicial protection – in the EU’s integrated administration.
