
Georgia Tsakni is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy at the University of West Attica, specializing in Social Justice and the Administration of Occupational Therapy Services. She holds a degree in Economic Science from the University of Piraeus, two Master’s degrees (a MSc in Environment and Health: Management of Environmental Issues with Health Implications from the School of Medicine of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, and a MSc in Modern Methods of Public Administration & Management – Public Management from the Department of Public Administration of Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences), as well as a PhD in the Administration of Justice from the Law School of Democritus University of Thrace.
Dr. Tsakni has extensive teaching experience in undergraduate and postgraduate programs, having taught since 2015 at the Technological Educational Institute of Athens and subsequently at the University of West Attica, as well as at Democritus University of Thrace (Law School). She is the author of articles published in international and Greek peer-reviewed scientific journals on topics related to health, social justice, occupational therapy, ethics and deontology in healthcare, and strategic planning in health services, and has participated in various conferences.
She is a member of research teams in the fields of social policy as well as health economics and management. Furthermore, she is the author of five monographs (The Administration of Justice – A Comparative Approach, Sakkoulas Publications; Social Justice in Health Services, Nomiki Vivliothiki; Occupational Therapy and the Social Environment, Nomiki Vivliothiki; The Social Rule of Law, the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, and the Responsibility of the Occupational Therapist, Sakkoulas Publications; Regulatory Framework of the Principle of Non-Discrimination for Vulnerable Social Groups, PN Sakkoulas Publications.
She also holds certified proficiency in four foreign languages (English, French, Italian and Spanish).
