Aleksa
Nikolić
Lecturer and PhD candidate at the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law

Aleksa D. Nikolić was born in 1994 in Belgrade. He enrolled at the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law in 2013 and graduated with honors in 2017. He completed his master’s studies in the narrower scientific field of constitutional law with distinction in 2018. In the same year, he began his doctoral studies at the same faculty.

During his undergraduate studies, he was awarded the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law Award four times, an honor given annually to the top-performing students. He was also a recipient of scholarships from the Ministry of Education of Serbia, the Faculty of Law at the University of Belgrade, the Milivoje Jovanović and Luka Ćelović Endowment, the Ministry of European Integration of the Republic of Serbia, the Federal Government of Germany (Leonhard Euler Scholarship), and the Sasakawa Young Leaders Fellowship Fund (SYLFF).

He pursued further academic training at Heidelberg University, the Hague Academy of International Law, the Institute for Comparative Federalism in Bolzano, and the Europa-Institut of Saarland University.

His theoretical and research interests focus on issues in constitutional law and political systems. He is a columnist for Politika, the oldest daily newspaper in the Balkans. He is a member of the International Association of Constitutional Law (IACL/AIDC).

Aleksa is currently а lecturer at University of Belgrade Faculty of Law teaching Constitutional Law.
