The Legal Status of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Parliament according to the 1910 Constitution

Sanja Savić

LL.D., Associate Professor, Faculty of Law, University of East Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina

The greatest innovation in the political life of Bosnia and Herzegovina after the adoption of the Constitution in 1910 was the Parliament, which, as a rule, met once a year in Sarajevo. Although the Parliament was supposed to serve domestic interests, its work largely depended on the will of the Austro-Hungarian monarch. In this paper, the author analyzes the legal status of the Parliament, its jurisdiction and its relationship to the Provincial Government, according to the 1910 Constitution.
