In this contribution the discussion and findings of the ‘Brexit’ Workshop are reflected. In light of, on the one hand, the limited developments of the Brexit file, as to substance, since the EGPL 2018 Reunion, and, on the other hand, the ongoing fruitless discussions in the British Parliament to have the Withdrawal Agreement and Political Declaration of 25 November 2018 approved, the discussions of the Workshop were focused on a limited number of substance matters, all of them, however, of utmost legal and institutional importance: direct democracy versus indirect democracy, the Article 50 TEU modalities and procedures, and the complexities of a withdrawal from the EU.
