The paper deals with the question of whether there is more cooperation or competition among the four state-based human rights institutions in the Slovak Republic. Slovakia has, in fact, the most human rights institutions in comparison with the V4 countries. I looked at the phenomenon through the lenses of the game theory and its assumptions deriving from reality. The institutions are at first sight non-cooperating. Therefore, I specified the theory based on the Nash equilibrium of non-benefit strategies of the players.
