Latin American Public Law Review

Scope

The Latin American Public Law Review constitutes an initiative of the European Public Law Organization (EPLO), operating through its Mexican Chapter (Capítulo Mexicano), that aims at developing public law and governance in Latin America by, amongst others, promoting the scientific togetherness of public lawyers in Mexico and all Latin America, along with the Europeans, and by encouraging a permanent dialogue on public law issues of interest for the whole region.

It is a publication of the EPLO (Office in Rome) and will be published semiannually in print (limited number of print copies) and in online form in spring and autumn of each year. 

Aims

The Latin American Public Law Review aims to be a scientific medium, designed to air Latin American research on public law and to spread in the region and the world the European and world knowledge on the area. It is oriented to articles on public law issues related to Latin American experiences and realities; the European and other origins’ thought on public law. Short articles dealing with developments in recent legislation and case-law within the Latin American institutions, book reviews and academic news of general interest are also within the scope of the Latin American Public Law Review.

It accepts submissions from academics, practitioners and researchers including those among the younger generation with experience and knowledge on its area of interest.

Submissions are accepted in English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish so as to give the opportunity to researchers to present developments in the public law of Latin America to a wide audience.

The Latin American Public Law Review is committed to high-standard research; therefore, manuscripts undergo rigorous peer review. The process normally takes between six to eight weeks.

The content of the manuscripts engages only their authors and in no case the EPLO Publications, the EPLO or the Capítulo Mexicano of the EPLO. 

Copyright in all pieces accepted for publication remains with the Publisher, unless otherwise explicitly requested by the Author.

If all or any part of a manuscript is reproduced elsewhere upon prior written permission by the Publisher/Editors, the author must make reference to its original place of publication in the Latin American Public Law Review.

No part of this publication may be reproduced in any form, by any electronic or mechanical means, including information storage and retrieval system without written permission from the Publisher/Editor.

La publicación Latin American Public Law Review constituye una iniciativa de la Organización Europea de Derecho Público (EPLO), operando a través de su Capítulo Mexicano que tiene como objetivo desarrollar el derecho público y la gobernanza en América Latina, entre otras cosas, promoviendo la colaboración científica de los abogados publicistas en México y toda América Latina, junto con los europeos, y fomentando un diálogo permanente sobre temas de derecho público de interés para toda la región.

Es una publicación de la EPLO (Oficina en Roma) y se publicará semestralmente en versión impresa (número limitado de ejemplares impresos) y en línea en primavera y otoño de cada año.

Objetivos

La Latin American Public Law Review pretende ser un medio científico, diseñado para difundir las investigaciones latinoamericanas en materia de derecho público y difundir en la región y el mundo el conocimiento europeo y del mundo sobre el área. Está orientada a artículos sobre temas de derecho público relacionados con experiencias y realidades latinoamericanas; el pensamiento europeo y de otros orígenes sobre el derecho público. La Latin American Public Law Review también incluye artículos breves sobre la evolución reciente de la legislación y la jurisprudencia en las instituciones latinoamericanas, reseñas de libros y noticias académicas de interés general.

La Latin American Public Law Review acepta presentaciones de académicos, profesionales e investigadores, incluidos aquellos de la generación más joven con experiencia y conocimiento en su área de interés.

Se aceptan presentaciones en alemán, español, francés, inglés, italiano y portugués para brindar a los investigadores la oportunidad de presentar los avances en el derecho público de América Latina a una amplia audiencia.

La Latin American Public Law Review está comprometida con la investigación de alto nivel; por lo tanto, los manuscritos se someten a una rigurosa revisión por pares. El proceso normalmente dura entre seis y ocho semanas.

El contenido de los manuscritos involucra únicamente a sus autores y en ningún caso a Publicaciones EPLO, a la EPLO o al Capítulo Mexicano de la EPLO.
